Elevate Quantum Expands New Mexico Operations with Move into Roadrunner Quantum Lab
New facility will advance quantum testing, benchmarking, commercialization and workforce development in New Mexico
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — September 30, 2026 — Elevate Quantum today announced the expansion of its New Mexico operations into the newly opened Roadrunner Quantum Lab, a 35,000-square-foot facility operated by Roadrunner Venture Studios in Albuquerque’s Innovation District. Elevate Quantum joins leading quantum companies, Sandia National Laboratories, Los Alamos National Laboratory and other ecosystem partners as one of the facility’s inaugural residents.
Elevate Quantum will use its presence at Roadrunner to build a national asset for quantum testing, benchmarking and metrology—creating capabilities that help companies more quickly validate components and technologies under real-world operating conditions. Initial efforts will include open-access cryogenic testing and validation for superconducting quantum components, with benchmarking methodologies and standardized operating procedures developed alongside industry and national laboratory partners. The center is designed to reduce technical risk, accelerate iteration and help emerging quantum technologies move from development toward commercial deployment.
The facility will also serve as a hands-on workforce training environment, giving students, technicians and incumbent workers experience with commercial-grade quantum infrastructure and skills including cryogenic systems, vacuum technology, helium leak detection, RF measurement, quantum control electronics and systems integration.

Elevate Quantum’s presence at Roadrunner represents its fourth operational facility and expands the organization’s growing network of shared quantum infrastructure across the Mountain West. The new operation complements Elevate Quantum’s other investments in the region including commercialization lab infrastructure, testing and metrology services, advanced packaging, and photonic integrated circuit fabrication. This facility advances its mission to dramatically accelerate the commercialization of quantum technologies.
