About

The Elevate Quantum Tech Hub

Quantum Lives In The Mountain West

Quantum technologies will be as important to the next century as semiconductors were to the last, and Colorado, New Mexico, and Wyoming are leading the way to build them. Since 2000, Colorado’s scientists alone have earned four Nobel Prizes for groundbreaking work on quantum science and the region is home to more quantum organizations, companies and jobs than anywhere else in the country.

Elevate Quantum is a Designated TechHub by the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration and boasts the largest regional consortium in America. The consortium of 120 organizations works to ensure that the region remains the global epicenter for Quantum by helping turn cutting-edge research into world-changing companies, facilitating a vibrant startup and scale-up ecosystem and building a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Elevate Quantum’s mission is simple: Secure the Mountain West’s position as the global epicenter for QIT development and enhance U.S. economic and national security.

The Elevate Quantum Model

Our model for success falls within four core pillars:

CREATE

An open-access commercial quantum lab providing inclusive access to hardware, software and expertise for AMO and Solid State Quantum Modalities. The engine for sustainable growth for Elevate Quantum and the region.

ACCELERATE

A continuum of accelerator programs to address every stage of the entrepreneur’s journey to translate quantum from the lab and build the world’s biggest businesses.

INCLUDE

An industry-informed, accessible, skilled, and inclusive quantum innovation ecosystem that enables diversity and equity within the QIT workforce.

UNITE

A central entity to manage the overall consortium and develop critical programming to ensure consortium success.

Building off America's largest quantum ecosystem, Elevate Quantum will deliver by 2030:

So, what sets Elevate Quantum apart from the rest?

The Top U.S. Quantum Ecosystem

With 3,000 commercial jobs today, 4 Nobel Prizes, more than $1 billion in Venture Capital raised, $9 billion in public investment in quantum infrastructure, and up to 100% of the U.S. supply chain for key quantum hardware, the Mountain West is undeniably the top quantum ecosystem in the U.S.

State Funding for the Most Underserved

Colorado and New Mexico state support will unlock $1 billion in new public and private capital. New Mexico ranks 46th in per capita income, making this a chance to enable good jobs for our nation’s poorest.

Ready for Growth Capital

The Mountain West is the only grassroots ecosystem with local organizations big enough for growth capital. This means 95% of development funds go to regional organizations that will continue to reinvent the local economy. Scaling today to 15,000 jobs by 2030 with commercial-ready products means up to 80% of jobs created don’t require a four-year college degree while paying $125,000 per year.

Industry-Led & Self-Sustaining from Day One

We’re led by entrepreneurs. We’re self-sustaining from Day 1 of EDA investment and will generate $150 million to build lasting capacity and U.S. technology leadership.
