Rebecca Sappington is an accomplished Quantum Systems Engineer and electromechanical expert specializing in the design, testing, and scaling of complex hardware for quantum-based applications. As a central technical lead at Elevate Quantum, she helps drive the operational success of the Cryogenic Quantum Lab by managing state-of-the-art dilution refrigerators and partnering directly with member startups to configure, implement, and debug critical solid-state and cryogenic quantum tests. Previously, Rebecca spent nearly five years as an Advanced R&D Engineer/Scientist at Honeywell ACST, where she successfully guided multiple superconducting magnet projects from concept to product delivery. Her deep technical expertise spans electromagnetics, ultra-high vacuum operations, cryogenics, RF, and optical engineering. Rebecca is a member of the Diné (Navajo) Nation, and she holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology.
