CSU San Marcos Faculty Workshops #2 – Quantum Sensing
June 11 - June 13
FreeTo help increase the number of faculty capable of, and actively working towards, including quantum information science and technology in their curriculum we are hosting two faculty workshops. Both workshops will be held on CSUSM’s campus in north county San Diego. Space is limited. Applications are now open with review expected to begin early March and continue until all available spots are full. Travel support is available for eligible faculty (priority given to CSU faculty).
If you have questions please contact Justin Perron at jperron@csusm.edu.
There are two separate sessions:
- June 2-4: Introductory QIST and educational modules
- June 11-13: Quantum Sensing
June 11-13: Quantum Sensing
This workshop is aimed at faculty with some familiarity with basic QIST concepts. This year’s workshop will focus on quantum sensing and its applications. Following a broad introduction to what quantum sensing is (both “quantum 1.0” and “quantum 2.0” technology types), specific technologies and applications will be covered. Participants should leave with a stronger understanding of quantum sensing and its applications, as well as motivated and confident in their ability to share this content with their students.
