The Biden administration is awarding $504 million in grants to fund 12 technology hubs across the country. College and university partners are prominently featured in the new hubs.

The twelve winners were chosen from 31 Tech Hubs identified last October in the first phase of the the Department of Commerce’s new Tech Hubs program. An economic development initiative aimed at strengthening a region’s capacity to manufacture, commercialize, and deploy technology, the Tech Hubs program was authorized by the CHIPS and Science Act, signed into law by President Biden in 2022.
