Optics Manufacturing Career Expo

We’re excited to invite you to our first Optics Manufacturing Career Expo — your unique opportunity to represent your company in a one-of a kind networking space, dedicated to technical roles in manufacturing at Colorado’s optics, photonics, laser, and quantum companies.

The students in our program have historically gotten jobs in their first semester here at Front Range Community College. If you wait for students to complete an AAS degree before you consider hiring, you’re probably too late. Because of this, our department wants to give all local optics companies this chance to meet the students in our program, network, gather resumes, and potentially even interview on-site before they get hired somewhere else.

Dates: Monday 10/6 and Tuesday 10/7, 2025 (Different groups of students each day!)
Time: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM (Setup at 4:30 PM)

How do I participate?
This first-of-its-kind event provides tables to local optics companies for free. Space is limited, and is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Respond to this email to RSVP!

What students will be attending?
The event has been designed to occur during class time, to maximize student availability and participation. Because we have multiple sections of our first-year classes, there will be different groups of students each day. In addition, we are opening the fair to students in machining, electronics engineering technology, and automation & engineering technology — so if you have other technician roles open, please feel free to advertise those as well.

What perks/sponsorships are available? Can I interview students on-site?

• All attendees receive: 1 table with 2 chairs (more chairs available upon request), access to the student resume bank on Friday 10/3
• Silver sponsors ($100) receive: early access to resume bank (Wednesday 10/1), thank-you @mention in Linkedin post
• Gold sponsors ($200) receive: silver tier benefits, 1 day of access to an interview room (for interviewing students on-site), picture of logo included in the Linkedin post
• Platinum sponsors ($500) receive: gold tier benefits, 1 additional day of access to an interview room (2 total), logo on handout at event, and we will give away your company swag at the check-in station for the event
